In the Alpes-Maritimes département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Vallauris is one of the five communes which witnessed the birth of the Sophia Antipolis science and technology park. Focusing on the future, the group was awarded the "Ville Internet" label in 2010. Just 20 minutes from the Nice Côte d'Azur international airport, Vallauris benefits from a privileged location. It hosts some noteworthy places such as the Magnelli Museum (ceramics), Pottery Museum, Château Robert, Château de l'Horizon and Centre Héliomarin.
